Beautiful, evocative, and powerfully emotional portrait. This just evokes strength and beauty. Well presented.

This is a beautiful, but incredibly powerful photo. One that deserves a wide, wide audience.

I hope she lives a long and healthy cancer free life.
Very brave, bold and touching photo.

This shot has haunted me ever since the first time I saw it! The feminine despair is obvious, but so is the strength of character. Thank you for this poignant look at your reality, it brought tears of condolence and pride to my eyes.

Very nicely handled, and something that needs to be seen - thank you for sharing this.

A brave choice of subject - unfortunately the intended effect is diminished by flat lighting and the rose, which in my opinion at least is unnecessary.

Your model is very brave to pose for this shot and to your credit I think it was very tastefully done. I love the shot except for a little too much red tone in the face, otherwise 8

I like the concept, however I think that it could have been composed a little differently to add to the effect.

Strong sad image - I think the rose is a little distracting to be honest and maybe could have been even stronger in B/W as no colours could interfere.

You will hear this a lot I am sure, but you have captured this well.well thought out and posed, great angle, the lighting is soft, the rose well could have done with out that one, but fabulous picture 10

As a breast cancer not yet survivor....I love this photo. There are a few things I'd change, though. I would have brought her chin a little forward and maybe supported her head in a way to avoid the pushing out of the skin on her right side of her face and putting her head more inline with her body. I would have tried this with an open eye too looking at the rose, or even the camera with a gentle look in her eyes. I'd also put a reflector to the left of the picture to lighten up the shadow under her chin and behind the flower.

I'm aware that this is will be voted low by people who will look at it in discomfort instead of with happiness that she is a survivor! If I could vote i'd give it a 7 for the reason mentioned above.

While this is touching subject matter and a brave model who has posed for this I feel the photo doesn't quite hit the nail on the head... if that makes sense. There is no emotion conveyed because she is "sleeping". I think this subject would be best served as a portrait, and just that. No theme necessary.
