Well - another pic of my kid. For the most part I enter what I like - and I happen to like pics of my kids. I know I enter tons of them, but I really try to mix it up and make them different from each other. I hope that people browsing through my portfolio find a wide variety of shots and styles when it comes to their portraits. I am basically using this as a platform for me to discover new techniques in editing and composition to bring variety to the portraits that we can offer our clients in our studio home. I do know that I am getting some backlash votes for using them so often, but whatcha gonna do. I am proud of these images, I am proud of the scores that tend to come with them, and long after I have left DPC these images will still be a part of our families history. And I will also mention that this image has been hanging on my wall as a stretched canvas for near 3 weeks.

This is beautiful, Tim. I would cherish this, too.

Is your stretched canvas of this this squarish crop? The canvas options I see are only for 'normal' sized prints.

Tim-- its a great shot and I know you are proud of it(and should be). Kids are great and way more important than a score at DPC. I think it is proof of your continual improvement and learning that you are able to score so highly with 'kid' shots. It says a lot about your technique. Had you down for a 9 with this one--in my top group. Keep em coming!

great shot, Tim.

I love your portraits and some day I will have to hang out with you and learn some lighting techniques!

He looks familiar--Pedro's or Timfy's??? Anyway-the BW tones are very good, skin on his foot seems a little softish. Such a contemplative pose for a young man. 9

He looks so calm and innocent and he seems to be enjoying the camera time. I have to ask, is this a photo of aidanthetoo taken by photographer timfythetoo?!

I love it! Especially your use of vignetting really helps. -BB

The pose is far too self concious but beautifully photographed.

My work computer - I know I shouldn't be voting from here - shows very pronounced concentric rings of gray alternating with violet in the background. I know it is jpg compression/degradation. I am not voting down for it because I notice this on many images here at work when I do not from my home computer. I tell you because it is nice to know that some monitors are displaying your work more degraded than others.

I know that little lad and once again he has proved that he is a perfect little model. Very well captured, great pose, yes you hit the nail on the head with this shot. I am sure you are running out of wall space with all the outstanding shots you have of your family 10

Beautiful processing and such a nice casual portrait. Like the scruffled look.

Wierd, that's 2 challenges in a row that a Too has been first up on my voting list! (The odd one out was first up too.) With nearly 500 entries, that's pretty wierd. :) Anyway, back to this image, I'm wondering what it is saying. It's called the calm, but he actually just looks sleepy, with half-closed eyes, slightly grumpy mouth and messed up hair. NR is a bit severe with some soft patches. I love the simle lighting setup and the vignette - is this your 430 in the background, or PS vignette? Overall, another nice portrait from the Too family. :)

Movement with the right foot? Something looks a bit fuzzy with the toes.
