i didnt even know the droplet of water was there till i downloaded this onto the computer ... i think the fly regurgitated this droplet coz it wasnt there in the previous shots .. the fly was probably about 7mm or 6/8" long .. he/she was mating at the time of this shot .. the blurry bit underneath is the 'other' fly .

i showed this to greg, and he reckons it's a wasp .. the title is because flies can be very annoying .. i spose the title still fits if this is a wasp .. they're still annoying, only in a different way . !!

That's amazing - just how tiny is that drop of water ? And what a fascinating world where you find water in great big round blobs like giant footballs, instead of lying flat like in a lake or pond.
