I specifically chose a bunch of berries that were on their way out as i liked the textures and colour variations. I note your comment that they aren't very appealing but would say that not everything in life is perfect.
A photograph of a brick wall may be boring but add graffiti to that same wall & a more interesting picture is created (I'm not condoning Graffiti just illustrating that perrfect isn't always best)

The out of focus branches on the bottom kill this. Otherwise it's a very nice shot.

Nice use of DOF, but the bright gray branch is more distracting than adding to the photo. Try to find a bunch of berries that aren't on their way out, half-rotten ones aren't very appealing. ^^;; Also, maybe try to place your subject somewhere else rather than just centered in the picture (rule of thirds). Score: 4

Nice macro and good DOF. A little bit of noise though but that can be repaired in neatimage which you can download for free.

The blurry branches in the foreground ate a bit distracting.

I loved this photo until I scrolled down adn saw the 2 out of focus branches in the foreground which, for me, disturbed the picture.

Good DOF.. focus is a bit soft though. Would've looked better, in my opinion, with increased saturation though.
