I took this of my brother and my dog lying on the floor --- I think it captures the moment pretty well. I used my camera's built-in flash (since it was very dark), which caused some nasty highlights. The only editing I did was a little levels to pull back the highlights, conversion to B&W, and a crop to focus on the licking action.

Excellent capture all around! I'm a sucker for pet shots and this one really meets the challenge... 9

this is gross... you are telling me you are intimate with a four legger- weird man

I don't know if I would have gone B&W with this shot. The tongue is to close in shade to the cheek and doesn't stand out as much as I would have liked. Leaving the color in the photo may have provided better contrast.

One of my top three picks of the challenge. Meets the challenge well and demonstrates imagination along creativity. Technically a well captured photograph.

Sorry, I hate when dogs lick peoples faces (and I AM a dog person). That aside, the shot could have been cropped a little looser and the lighting looks flat.

Nice shot. The light is pretty flattening, though.

Nasty! Eww! *grin* Good capture... but seems a bit too tightly cropped to be really pleasing.

You have cropped half of the dog's eye.
