You were ripped off! 60 votes of 4 & under?!!! Sheesh! Although I can't say that I LOVE the fingers in the composition, without them I would not realize just how tiny he is. You have a great focus on your subject - your colors are nice - along with a pleasant DOF - it just seems that these factors alone should have eeked you out a bit better of a score! From one of your seventeen 7's.

Wow, this is one of the most under rated photos I've seen so far. The composition is excellent. The turtle is following the rule of thirds like he/she was trained to be there. The hand helps scale this picture well and the fingers also make some nice lines through the shot. Creamy bokeh. The only small adjustment I might suggest would be turning the turtle (& camera) slightly counter clockwise to lighten the shadows of the neck/shoulder area. If people can't see patterns in a turtle then they might need new lenses. :P

I love this shot and my wife REALLY REALLY loves this shot (the turtle is SO cute). Thanks for entering it.

Aside from the distraction of the ring, this is a perfect shot! Love the colors and composition.

Thid is a very great subject, probably because i love turtles. But I like how you had the background as green, but still focusing on the turtle's patterns

The pink of the skin offsets the green of the turtle nicely. It is easy to see the patterns on the animal. My question is sort of nit-picky, were there other ways to show this animal? The fingers all splayed out are sort of a secondary subject and they don't really fit (other than to show the size of the animal). It sort of minimizes the effect of the natural patterns on the turtle.

The focus is great and having the hand for scale is wonderful. Well done.

Maybe having the turtle on something that wasnt so large, or if it was shot at a different angle that could help kepp the focus on the turtle
