Para Sempre em Amor is Portuguese for "Forever in Love". I really was stoked about this challenge, because I always wanted to do this shot. I love the picnic scene in the grass or trees. I was really nervous because we had snow this whole week and then it was supposed to get nice. So Saturday was sunny and melted most the snow, and Sunday was nice and melted the rest.

The models are my brother-in-law Jake and his wife Michelle. Thanks guys. It was really cold out but they did a great job with the poses and making it look so natural, well that might have been thanks to the Jack Daniels but still. :)

Hope everyone likes and would love to get some feedback on any ideas to making my B&W shots better. Thanks.

Congrats on a top 20. This is a very nicely done shot and it meets the challenge well.

Compositionally, it is well balanced, I think, between your two subjects. You also fill the frame nicely so that there is not a lot of distracting background. I do find having just the tip of his head cut off, when none of her's is, a bit distracting, but nothing terribly important.

Technically, the focus is great and the "colors" per se, are good. There is a good range of blacks and grays. In looking at it, my eyes try to make the shirt white. I'm thinking his shirt is a colored one, and that will prevent it from being white. I am by no means a craftful BW person, but in looking at the *really really really* good ones, there will be some definite black and some definite whites. Also, the rose is almost un-noticeable. In color, it would probably really add (though I think BW was an EXCELLENT choice), but in bw, it kinda fades away, and at first glance, I thought it was another arm from somewhere. Perhaps if he had been stroking her face as she was his. . .

Still, a great shot.

If I need to further clarify anything, please feel free to contact me.

This is a great shot. I think a wider aperture - blurring more of the background - would even be better. I love her expression very natural, sensual and relaxed.

Nice shot of a nice moment. Maybe a reflector to get some light in his eye would improve it though.

Clarity is fantasic and great lighting. Feels a bit too posed for me, but excellent photo.

A bit too harsh lighting to make this perfect... but a great sense of intimacy.

Very very cheesy. I also wish her eyes were open. The tones are great though!

Technically great, artistically cheesy. I give it a 6.

A tad cheezy IMO, but maybe that is intentional. The guy could use a little light on the face.
