I found a Falconer who wanted some photos taken of his bird. I sat underneath his arm while the bird was about to land. Made a almost surreal photo.
Some cropping. But a suprisingly good pic.

I feel this was really underrated. I do think you would have done better had you cloned out the straps on the hawk's legs, but you could do that if you wanted to sell it as a print. This is a truly beautiful photo with an interesting perspective. Well done!
I think I've worked out what it is that makes this shot so insane. It's the bird's right eye, wide open, staring wildly at us. Fantastic shot, perfectly composed. And congrats on the posthumous ribbon!
