 Taken on my way to church on Easter Sunday 2008. I saw this light pillar from my home and was amazed by it all the way to church. The largest building there is the church with the pillar over the steeple. Once I saw that it was centered over the church on Easter Sunday, I had to stop and take the shot.

Very dramatic light - not only the pillar but also the rest of the sunset as well as the light in the clouds. [Might consider cropping left side by 20-25% to move the pillar further away from the center.]

Maybe it's a sun pillar...but I think maybe it's the truth, the light, and the way. Easter blessings to you and your family, Judy! :)

What a beautiful example of a sun pillar! They are caused by sunlight reflecting off of ice crystals in high clouds. Lovely purple and reds, what a great capture!
