 Along the road through Jacobsen Ranch to the original Davidson Ranch in Chileno Valley, west Marin County, California.

my intent was twofold; attempt to achieve a smooth sky (has obvious banding, but no comment said so...) and desired to make the ground area appear like it does late in the day when you have to squint at it, sort of over-sharpened.

Convert raw to CMYK, darken/sharpen blacks. LAB to adjust lightness & color curves. Resize, save for web, noise removal, sharpen. Submit.

Entry for week four - 2008 DPC Olympics, Team Germany.

Nice. I like the use of the leading s-curve and the negative space of the sky. May be a little oversharpened.

Is this photo about the entire landscape with special attention the wonderful blue sky because the fence kinda gets lost in the shot.

What did you do to the processing here? It is interesting in its own way, but definitely does not look natural. I think I'd prefer this without whatever filter you used.

Looks way too hard - was this over-edited???

Also too much sky for this challenge. I woudl crop lots of the sky off to keep the observer focused on the fence.

You have a fine comp, and scene - but the image looks oversharpened, when it should really have benefitted from a softer look. Colrs look a bit garrish, and unnatural, and somewhat overexposed.

Too much sky, the photo contains 80% sky and so this is what this picture is about. To make it about the fence, crop out all but small portion of the sky. Then it's all about the fence.
