I wanted to find something orange and try to set it off as the sole colour in a shot and this is what I ended up with. The carrot is peeled with a vegetable peeler and arranged in a hand-blown glass. Set up is basic (am still learning sudio photography) with a slide viewing box for light and grey and black artboard as a background.

Photo was croped a tiny amount, one step sharpened and very slightly saturated.

would be better with a solid color background that has more vibrant color to it....needs to make the orange pop more.

One of the most original entries. Good color and nice, neutral background. 8

Neat concept. I like the way you have captured the glass. Nice use of the 2 tone background - it nicely separates and hightlights the carrots in the glass.

Nice orange, but just a tad sterile a shot for me. Crop is too tight at bottom.

Very cool idea. I like the goblet, neat. Maybe a black background would of made this pop!

A different colored background would have made this a better image.

Very, very nice. The glass and carrots are so sharp and well defined. I think it would be even better if you had a solid background. You lighting is great.

I really like the way the grays set off the orange in this shot. It's simple, but I think it's eye-catching and very well done.
