Just for fun. No ribbon aspirations here. And I'm not Irish at all, actually.

POST CHALLENGE:

This was a lot of fun. The comments were great. I had no hopes of a high score for this one (in fact it's a new personal worst!). It was hastily prepared, as I couldn't sleep and decided at the last minute to have some fun and enter this.

Lit by only the computer screen (DPC blue, of course), I shot several ten second exposures, turning my head slightly and holding for about two to three seconds at a time. That was it. The camera was resting on my keyboard.

This was a "study" for Blurry Mess, and it probably would have done better there than my "serious" entry. Oh well.

About the noise -- I added it! It wasn't the effect I wanted though (again, I didn't have much time; see the outtakes where I finally got it right). I should have added the noise before resizing. It was too much. Also I added blur, which probably wasn't necessary.

The comments were mostly favorable. A few folks weren't amused, to which I can only say... Lighten up! Give me a one if you will, but laugh a little! Life's too short. Someone also said they didn't see what this had to do with peek-a-boo. Peek-a-boo is all about the element of surprise (and I think this surprised at least a few people). And the challenge description instructed me to let my imagination run wild, which I did.

I think I'll make this my new profile picture.

This is a scary shot. Very noisy. Is it multiple strobes of a rotating head?

interesting effect though I don't really see the peek a boo here.

LOL! And, I thought a few others were "eerie"! *grin* BTW..try downloading a program called "Noiseware Community Edition". It'll fremove a lot of that "grain"/noise. It's free. Would make this a much better shot. Unless of course, you're going intentionally for the "Brown Ribbon". *wink* (hey, some people DO!)

Yikes is my first reaction..I think I would like this better if there was less noise.

Freaky and over-editted. Probably what you wanted, but not so wonderful for me.

This seems like it's in the wrong challenge...maybe a blurry mess? Probably a good high score in the Blurry Mess challenge. Just because there are eyes (and a lot of them) doesn't make it fit the peek-a-boo challenge. Creative and interesting...I'll give you that!

Yikes. I am sitting here at my computer, it's 1:30 at night. The room is dark, I vote on a photo and then this comes up on my screen. Well, I'll admit it. I jumped. LOL

Photo wise, yeah, it's a bit grainy. But I think it goes well with the subject. Nicely done.
