I know it's not really blurry, but it's what I have.

This was taken on March 7th at a rollover accident. The story behind it:

There was three vehicles total. A fully loaded logging truck in front, a litle SUV from New York (dang outa staters *grin*), and then an empty flatbed truck. They got to a passing zone and the flatbed decided to pass everyone. Well, once the flatbeds cab got next to the SUV the New Yorkers decided they wanted to pass the logging truck. Needless to say they didn't make it. They clipped the front right tire of the Flatbed and then rolled around the front of the flatbed (getting pushed down the road) and then came off on the left side of the flatbed and rolling over and onto the opposite side of the road. The funny part was it came to rest on top of a "No Passing" sign that was at the end of the passing zone.

Nobody was hurt in this (and at the time the cops let the flatbed truck go and were contemplating charging the SUV driver for innatentive driving (there was also a case of beer in the vehicle, but I don't know if any were open).

Here is the SUV...

I didn't actually attempt to take a blurry photo, but I found that when I use my little onboard flash I can't get any good pictures at a fire scene. All the reflective striping washes out the pictures.

PS. I did absolutely NO Post-Processing on this shot (except resize to 640x480 and under 150kbs)

Definitely meets the challenge. I can't think of too many more real-life situations that would make a more perfect subject; all you had to add was blur.

moody, soft-focus documentary of the scene of the accident

Blurry and messy? A little maybe, but only by the nature of the scene. The viewer is more taken by the action in the photograph.

good idea. Next time, though, leave your shutter open while walking towards the scene. Try it!

I'm afraid I don't see this image as meeting the challenge. The road may be a blurry mess of slush, but the image itself is neither blurry nor messy.

As far as the image itself goes, I'm not finding it grabs me much. Perhaps a lower perspective to the ground would get some of the texture and reflections of the lights in the slush. That would be a blurry mess and probably cool looking as well.

Is this really a blurry mess?

I'm sure at the time it was a very chaotic scene, however, there is no sense of speed, or urgency in this image.
