It looks as though the flower is floating in air above the nicely contrasting background... I rather like that. I'll bet if the cackground were any sharper it would distract. Very NIce.

I might be insane, but I think this is one of the few flower shots where the flower is actually (aghast!) orange! Well done you for not being colour blind! It's a super shot, brilliant composition and wow, I can't see the stalk. Totally gorgeous. I love how the flower fills the shot just right. Nothing wrong with this at all. 10.

This looks a bit strange because the flower seems totally disconnected from the background.

I never tire of beautiful well executed florals, this definitely meets that criteria. The colors are wondeful, your attention to detail is outstanding. I as others had rather see the beauty of the flower, rather than the beauty of inanimate object lol. Great job keep up the great work. 10
