This is Chloey, one of our two sister Maine Coon kitties. I recently submitted her sister, Zoey, in a free study. She was watching the squirrels and birds out the basement window, and I was lucky to get a few shots of her before the camera scared her away. I had to switch it to B&W because the brightness of the window wasn't doing her lovely coloring any justice.
I know some will not like this processing but I really like how it turned out and think that it fits our Chloey really well.

Dynamic pose and nice capture of the light. Ordinarily I don't care for a lot of blown light but in this case it doesn't bother me. I think the repetition of the rectangular shapes of the window, frame, and wall make it seem more an integral part of the scene than a distraction.
I really like this pose and the expression on the cat's face. The effects used here are interesting, but I think this kitty is pretty just on it's own.
