|Standing under an overhang in the rain on the second level of the Embarcadero Center, overlooking Justin Herman Plaza. I actually was walking across the plaza not too long ago and noticing the varying shades of gray on a foggy day, which prompted me to suggest this challenge, only to find it had been done before. Even though its been rainy instead of foggy out here this week, I wanted to capture the same scene for this challenge. Unfortunately it really started to pour just after I got there, so I started looking for angles where I could shoot from a relatively sheltered location, which is how I stumbled upon this spot.
Not expecting much from this shot, maybe mid 5s, but could be a lot lower in a challenge that will likely be filled with a lot of graphic studio shots.
I do expect this one to get challenged, but there was very little done to it. Opened in RAW, adjusted WB temp, contrast and exposure, levels, added a warming photo filter, three-pass USM per the discussion in the recent thread, resize, USM again, border, s4W.
