 This was harder than I expected, due to the reflective surface of the globe. Shot in a huge black light tent, and lit with a mag-light. Yes... a mag-light. Kinda frustrating, as I have 4 AB600's sitting right outside the tent, and I end up using a $9 mini-flashlight. Hmmmmmm. Strobist might be on to something ;O)

20 second exposure - lit the dove for 2 seconds, turned off the light, and then hit it again from below for about 4 seconds. Looking at the results, it seems like I went through a lot of trouble for a fairly simple looking image. Had to run out with my CF card & edit this on a plane, so this is not my typical overnight edit-palooza session. Personally I think it shows :o\

Just needed to make sure & get an entry in for Round 2 of the HotPasta side-challenge! Up against Judi this round, so I'll likely get crushed with this entry, but hey - it's for an AWESOME cause. Go Enzo! :O)

This is creative and it looks almost professional, the "dove" appears to be cut and pasted there because it is so much brighter than the globe and doesnt have nearly as many values.

Nicely photographed (though the globe is a touch dark) and a good idea up until the obviously fake bird.

Alrighty, then. I would definitely have gotten the idea even without the title. The image works, even if the dove is a little less classy than the bronze globe.

A dove? Try avoiding cliched ideas and going for something more original.

That is one weird looking dove. I like the negative space though, and the lighting on the globe is nice.
