Animal shots are so difficult to get right. This one is about 80% right. The eyes are too washed out for the picture to have that "Wow" factor.
You may need to calibrate your monitor. The eyes are not washed out on my desktop or on my personal laptop...but they are washed out on my work laptop because the monitor is not calibrated.
If I had to confront your cat or Jacko's, I'd take my chances with your cat. Jacko's cat is just plain crazy and I'd probably lose both my eyes while yours maybe gets one. :P Seriously though, your shot wins on technicals and Jacko's on impact.

Glad you've got the eyes/face in focus here and I like your composition. After trying to take shots of my Mum's cats I know they aren't that easy to capture!!
