Well...here we go again. We are only 2 weeks out of the floods and the rains have started again. Some people still don't have homes....and now we are on Flash Flood warnings again. The television, radios and newspapers are running warning bulletins every 15 minutes. We are in for more.

The only problem is....the dam is already overflowing and rivers and creeks are still very high. This time...there is no where for the water to go...except over the town.

I sit here and I look at the colour of the water, the dead trees that have been underwater for too long. You can see the level by the brown foliage.

Where I sit was underwater two weeks ago. The water will rise much higher than my head....and the town will be evacuated...many are considering leaving for good. What are we in for?

When will it end...?

strong story!
I hope it didn't flood the town.
I think that your position, is a little bit ralaxing compare to the story, after reading I excpected somthing more dramtic on your pose, like hand on your face or somthing ..

and we pray that it will rain more over here.. :)

I love the dramatic colors in this, and after reading your comment it seems fitting for what's ahead. Hopefully the rain won't last long and there won't be flooding (or alot of it anyway). Sending thoughts & prayers for dry weather your way!

I really enjoy the dynamic colour range here. There is just something that really adds so much energy and life to this image. Fantastic capture of the floods. Very nice.
Wow, that is a ton of water. I can not imagine what that must be like. I guess one good thing about all the water though is that Art RoflmaoWon't be able to Burn the village down. 6-;

Great shot, has a lot of impact. The warm earthy tones work well here. Best of luck to ya as mother nature can be quite challenging sometimes.

Beautiful shot Judi - lovely composition with a very similar palette (red/brown/grey/green). Feels like some of the areas could be burnt in a little to recover some of that fill light, especially in the bushes and towards the edge of the water (I think this would also help keep focus on you).
