 Business weekend trip - shot of my room with overlays from Brad and Goodman. Didn't have my tripod, so its kind of soft.

I love the mood. It's interesting how the image itself looks perfect, but that texture adds a nice scratchy 'used' feel to it. I like that. I personally can't tell that it's soft as you mentioned - in fact I think that's one of the really nice things about overlays. The original image might look blah, but a texture works magic on it. :)

Soft is very good. Like that first test picture off a new roll of film, to make sure it spooled right, before leaving the hotel room to go sightseeing. (I don't know how old you are, let me know if you don't remember film cameras) :D

Nothing better than to deal with softness than to put overlays on it.
