Great leading lines to the vanishing point that lead you nicely into the sky. Not sure about the luminance layer on the sky. Nicely balanced shot and even better since you were moving! |

I like seeing the long empty road and the lights on the car on the right are a fun surprise. |

I like the contrast between the road and the sky.. not extremly dark, just a little bit to add a little mystery :)

Nice leading line, I like how the lines from the road and the dark trees lead you, cool sky too. |

You remind me that it is natural to make a trade off between a dark region and a light region when exposing a sensor. Often the two cannot be achieved at once and in my opinion in real life the eye and brain are registering one or the other - not both. Your choice of revealing the sky enhances the mystery of the road and the woodland and imbues the image with some moody feeling. HDR techniques remove that feeling in order to gain a forensic look at the world. 0.02 cents worth nothing at current exchange rates. |

I really like how the whites are NOT blown out. hard to do with the sun as the subject. |

In the B&W version, it's hard for me to see the "sunset" part. One thing you might want to try is create a black and white adjustment layer, then fade the opacity of it for a slight desat - to me that works better than the desat control, but that could just be in my head. You may also want to try a wee bit of shadows/highlights to see if there's a touch of detail - not too much - in the trees along the right hand side. |

Amazing that you got something so sharp and clean while you were moving. Jeeez. I can't even seem to get photos as sharp as I need them when I'm still. . .with an image stabilizer. . .or with a tripod. No fair! :)

Nice capture and way to work in a shot during your travels. I love the way the sky looks. |
