the textures, the repeating shapes of the stones and the grafitti, the placement of the 'mice' - very good
i just wonder about the softness of the focus |

All that wall height is well-chosen - if the shot were framed closer in, you would lose the "mousehole" sense. The graffiti and road markings keeps our eye line rooted to the level of the "mice", so we can't miss them. As a point of personal preference, I might make it more contrasty overall to see what that does for the image. |

hehe great title for a nice spot! (three mice by 'paw'drix lol). Great detail on the wall, I'd have preferred the wall to be straighter though. A simple though thought provoking shot :) |

This makes me wonder what they're waiting for. A bus? Something else? Really nice B&W conversion and good detail in the brick. I hate graffiti, yet it adds so much to this picture. |

This is terrific. The wall works as negative space (sort of) and the graffiti and street lines help draw the eye to the "mice." The poses are perfect. I would like to have seen a bit more sharpness, but it's pretty effective as is. |

I love finding those guys in that hole! Great composition. I don't know all the whys and wherefores, but I know my eye is drawn to those three. |

Sweet. I want to know what they are waiting on, what train is going to pass in front of them, so they can leave the tunnel. All the leading lines and key stoning of the arch focus attention down to them, even though they are such a small part of the frame. The graffiti on the wall also ends up pointing right to them - yet they are looking somewhere else.
I like that it asks questions but doesn't give answers. Enough ambiguity to make it something to think about, not a straight answer, which can be dismissed easily. |

Ya'll got some big mice in NYC. And they dress well too. I love the composition with just that archway and the big stone wall. Also it's cool to see the contrast of the white graffiti scribbles against the straight white crosswalk lines. |

An event about to happen (the rat hole). An event passed (graffiti in the night). The durable stones, which will surely last longer than the humans and the paint. You remind me that simple elements in a photo can transmit varied meanings. You also remind me that story telling is at the heart of many great photos. And to give the viewer leeway to make up their own story to fit the photo... |

love the textures and comp here. I think vignette would really draw your eye to the lower right more. |

It begs questions - what are they waiting for? What kind of place is that huge and has that little mousehole opening beneath it? And where does that tunnel go? Not sure about the halfway line formed by the wall's structure but also can't see any other way to compose it either. |

THIS is freaking FABULOUS!!!!!!! I love the textures, the contrasts, the urban feel of the scene, but most of all, I am in LOVE with the perspective of the 3 guys so small in the doorway of that massive wall.
This one would definitely get my vote for Photo of the Day!

Great title and subject matter, nice composition, nice textures of brick, like the graffiti. Upper left corner is a bit out of focus for my taste, wonder whether mild cropping along top and left would be useful. |

Title is pure genius!! Another fab capture, I think the composition is wonderful, I like how the white paint on the ground matches the white graffiti on the walls, textures on the bricks are wonderful and just brilliant expressions captured |

Good title...this does look like a mouse hole. I like the composition, and the three guys make this an interesting human interest image. |
