Today was one of those rare days where you feel like you've earned a week's salary in one hour. You do what you're asked. You do the right thing, which is even more important. The people not getting the job done get called on by The Big Dog. They get upset and decide to call you out instead of looking at a mirror and realizing where the real problems lie. They get their jabs in and make "comments" because they have the authority to do so. They fool no-one. It is what it is no matter what kind of spin is put on it.

So today I earned a week's salary in one hour. If I had to do this every day I'd quit. The drive home was extended due to potholes (aka craters) and I wasn't in a good mood when I walked through the door. As soon as I opened the door, Cartesia came running over, saying, "Daddy, Daddy!" and had to give me a hug.

It put things into perspective...

She looks so beautiful and sweet. Yep, you can forget a really bad day at the office with those simple words.

What an amazing capture of someone that is typically in perpetual motion. It is so soft and delicate. I love how the hair frames her face and the detail in the left eye.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! What a doll! Love the translucence of her skin, and the fine detail is amazing. How wonderful to leave your worries at the door and become a dad again. They truly transform us, don't they?

Yeh Ken, there's a lot of truth in what you're saying. They should all be politicians. That's why I started working for myself. I don't mind so much if I blame myself for something I didn't do. But hey, what a beautiful way to sooth the savage beast - coming home to Cartesia and Taylor.
