i took this photograph a couple of weeks ago just before the plane landed at sydney airport .. we'd been up to the sunshine coast for a few days & visited shez sherpet while we were there ..
anyway .. this is the city of sydney from the air .. you can see the harbour bridge, commonly known as the coat hanger and the opera house a bit to the right of the harbour bridge ..
this probably looked better without the overlay treatment but i just cant seem to stop bringing those bloody textures in and playing around ..

What a great looking city! Seen from your eyes, that is :-) Marvelously marvelous, a new fav! So, here in the US they make us put away any 'digital devices' in the take-off and landing periods, long before I've ever been able to capture such a closeup view. So do you have different rules or are you just sneaky? Hmmm, I'm thinkin' sneaky...:-) Anyway, this ROCKS! Oh and thanks for the textures link!

The coloring is absolutely amazing. That blue green color ... I'm in love with it.

This is nice - makes the sky look foreboding. Has a kind of well-traveled postcard feel to it.

Wow, Roz... this is crazy beautiful. Sort of futuristic through the combination of a hint of grunge over this beautiful and modern city. This is very inspired.

Dang, you've got a beautiful city there. Is Mrs Maquaries Seat still there? And the Quay where the convicts first came ashore? I remember exploring those places, along with the magnificent Opera house in the pouring rain some (mumble - mumble) years ago... I see you've picked up a few buildings since.
:-))

Beautiful aerial - you were sitting on the right side of the plane! And of course, wonderful processing.

I think I see a really good poster. Turned out really good. The dark top of the overlay really helps the eyes focus on the city.
