I am torn. The texture definitely adds something to an already amazing photo, though I am a bit of a purist (unadventurist postprocesser?) about such things, so I have to ask what exactly it adds. Mostly what other commenters said about the feel of the weather and scene, but specifically I think the sepia tones and vignetting and the slightly less in your face splash help to bring the scene to more digestible human proportions. (You've got me going here!)
This is great, the texture adds a great tone to the shot. Well composed and great background mountains. I have a thing for park benches and this shot is awsome!
WOW!! This is fantastic, I love the feeling it evokes in me, some vision of the past... I can hear the surf pounding into the walkway, feel the chill in the air... It is a wonderful shot by itself, but the texture just pushes it over the edge into perfection!!!
a definite wow .. excellent photograph given a wonderful and interesting feel with the texture .. working so well together .. love how the texture has given details in the waves .. :)
This is quite cool - with the old fashioned-looking lamps, the texture can fool you into thinking this is an old glass negative from yesteryear. Nice range of tones in this shot.
Fabulous! Love the water splashing over the wall!
I reckon this would have to be the most versatile texture you can use! and like Les said, works on just about any image!
Great job of combining the two!!
