This evening I was attempting to get pictures of Cartesia (very big part of my life) when she decided to pretend sleep. I managed to snap a couple of pictures before she got up to move again. When I went to process this picture this evening I realized that she is so beautiful even at her "ugliest" moments. Sometimes I think we lose sight of how precious our children are even if there is an abundance of love for them. Have to thank the stresses of life for that.

Oh, Amanda! I LOVE this photo so much. It is so "fine art"esque (I know, photography has brought a whole new slew of made up words into my vocabulary :) What can I say, it is just beautiful in every sense of the word. . .in every element of this beautiful photo.

You've captured her "calm side" perfectly, even if it's just acting on her part. The processing fits this perfectly with just the right amount of shadow detail.

Beautiful and mischevious ... a wicked combination in the present. Then again when one looks back it is so very good to see ... life has not beaten her down she has loads of potential.
Love your processing. Beautiful!

She is beautiful and I sense the underlying playfulness of her pretending. Great photo and processing.

I like the editing you did here. For me, it has the look of one of those great old paintings. She can be proud with this photo of her.

What a wonderful capture. Even without your words I can sense the mischievous manner within all children. The image is soft enough to bring out the gentle nature in all children and the colors are well connected presently an image that is most pleasing to the eye. Great job.

You have caught the most beautiful image. The light and soft focus is wonderful and suggestive of how fleeting childhood is. Superb.

Nicely said. And a very beautiful child portrayed in a very dreamy photograph. It's funny how it seems that my 4 children were all this age and so dependant only yesterday. That was 19 years ago.

OMG amanda .. cartesia is so beautiful .. & this is such a delicate and gorgeous image .. a perfect process ..
and yes we do often lose sight of how precious and beautiful our children are .. my daughter ali is now 19 years old ... my brother recently gave me a dvd of movies he'd put together of our family .. on it were snippets of ali when she was between two and four years old ... i didnt realise at the time how incredibly cute she was .. i do now !!!...:)
