taken on the firetrail this morning ..
looking for something to enter in the january free study ..
this just didnt do it for me ..
back to the drawing board .. well, the wacom tablet really ..!!
It's a bug - really close UP! lol! I'm looking at it because you are my friend. It's magnificent, Roz. I'm seeing things in a dragonfly I wish I had never seen. (I'm kidding - you know that) But really - you are so masterful in getting depth and clarity in your macros - it's truly amazing.
Good luck for finding something for FS. I'm still pitching around myself.
Roz, you are getting better at slipping up close to these little critters you find on the 'trail with your macro. I think your "Yellow" challenge shot was awesome in capture and processing. This one is great too. I like the leaf behind the bug in this shot. The veins in the wings are treat too.
The wings look like a fancy cape. I love macros, especially of dragonflies. Very nice angles with the bug and the stick, and very 3-dimensional feel to it. And incredible detail ... he's fuzzy in places! And I don't mean OOF.
I suspect you would have lost a point or two from some people for the eye being a little soft but I don't think this would have done too badly in the FS. It has a LOT going for it.
Gotta' get me a prime macro, that's just all there is to it. I'm convinced!
