The picture is good, but the title could have been: "The object of my Desire"

make sure you focus on the subject not the background...

it's just not appealing.

IMHO, if you submit a photo with such a clear deficiency as total lack of focus, that will be the only critique you would receive, and that you already knew. So you would be unable to obtain a helpful constructive feedback. Maybe the technical capabilities of your camera cannot provide you with a close up of this nature.

Wish there were something more interesting going on in the reflection. 5 sjgleah

NO,blurry
10/02/2002 03:20:00 PM
too much out of focus

I think you might have gotten this one a bit too close. Notice how the background (the window) seems to be in better focus than the face and reflection. I like the reflection though. It is very noticable and clearly a reflection. The lighting seems good for the shot, and the angle and framing/cropping you have chosen is very nice. Overall nice shot. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

A little blurry for my taste
10/01/2002 10:44:00 PM
way too blurry...should have moved left not to catch distracting background
10/01/2002 10:20:00 PM
out of focus
10/01/2002 09:28:00 PM
idea is great..but looks a little out of focus on my screen

This would have been a lot better IMO if something had been in focus. Remenber a lot of folks like to get something back from the picture that is either interesting, soothing, or motivating and that does not happen hers. Sorry

very good idea, but needs more focus... - setzler

Trying hard to rate sunglass pics each on their own merit. Too blurry IMO

Seems like the camera focused more on the background behind the person wearing the glasses. The camera also shadowed the same person's nose a bit. 6 Swash

Blurry, your too close to the camera. The background is in focus, not the sunglasses.
10/01/2002 11:18:00 AM
Nice idea but looses it on the focus.

I think if you had cropped this a bit more it would have worked better. The lines of the window on the left are very distracting. And the glasses are a bit out of focus.
But I like the reflection!

This is a good shot, and I know it is difficult to do. I think the overall effectiveness would be heightened if you could get the face in focus, OR the reflection. If I am not mistaken, adjusting your F-stops, if possible, can help. karmat

would have been sooo much better in focus...
09/30/2002 11:01:00 PM
it would have been a better picture if you had focused it and maybe chosen another background...
09/30/2002 04:11:00 PM
Nice job. IMHO focus could of been a bit better..but then I know know you dealing with two different areas...Not bad at all. Score 6 Justine

Nice Idea, The focus could be a bit sharper on the reflection instead of the back drop.
09/30/2002 03:58:00 AM
the whole thing is too blurry.
09/30/2002 12:54:00 AM
Would have voted higher if it was in focus.
09/30/2002 12:45:00 AM
Nice reflection. The focus is a bit soft - but that's asking the camera to do quite a bit. Not extremely exciting to me... definitely met the challenge though. There just seems to be a lot of... empty space? a lot on the left, and a lot on the right... - JB
