This is a great comment. It is exactly the advice I would heed if I were you.

What a great old entrance, and I like the concept of the girl in front, but technically there are some problems: it's not very sharp, the girl sort of disappears against the background, the upper left corner is too bright and draws the eye away from the subjects, a lot of empty space down front, plus you've got the phone wires. Maybe shot at a later time of afternoon, with a tripod and a reflector or fill flash, would bring better results (though no recommendation for the wires, unless you can cut them down). ;-)

This one creeps me out a little. I think I've seen horror flicks that start this way!

This image has a lot of good points and bad. This is a great location, with this fantastic decaying old building, and the girl is a great addition to humanise the scene. But, the powerlines and the lighting and sky colouring all let it down.

Good exposure -- you've got details in the shade and didn't blow the background out. The little girl really gives a sense of scale to the shot.

The electric lines in front of the building spoil the image a bit but it's still a very nice picture. i like how the reddish tone of the building complements the color of the sky.

Really cool old building. Interesting. The little girl looks so out of place. I like it!
