I do not like the top or bottom framing. contrast is a little soft and so is the focus on the bird. Otherwise an interesting composition. And I like the ship entering from the pother side and that it is soft in focus.
I like the DOF....the background is blurred enough but no so much so we can't make out the habitat. It shows that these birds are common in coastal cities.
Love the line of a pier or such into the water. Nice way of showing how a bird probably sees our world - just sort of a hazy background off in the distance.
The bird is great. Nice and sharp. I like the composition. The background has considerable noise for my taste. I like the presentation with the borders.6
