 Common Red Poll this little bird has been prevalent this yr in VT. They are an Arctic bird which doesn't appear here every yr..

What a wonderful and interesting composition! I love the expression on the primary purple finch but the inclusion of the female (juvenile?) softly out of focus in the lower right corner...it's unusual but it works for me.

a little soft either from focus or camera movement. Having the second bird in the frame I would have moved them both to the left a bit so the whole bird on the right is in the frame even though he is out of focus. colors, contrast and saturation all look good.

The second bird in the corner distracts from your subject. A tighter crop, with your subject in the lower left corner looking across the frame, might have scored better.

I like the bird's coloring - very nice bits of not over the top red. Good catch in the pose, and nice supporting background.

very good focus and natural color. too much empty space at left for my taste, a slight turn to the right had also brought mre of the second bird into the shot.
