 This little guy is starting to get brighter, but is still very drab in comparison to how he will look this summer. My birdfeeders are very popular with the Goldfinch set this winter.

Took this last week but I didn't take any pictures at all yesterday (horrors!!) so I needed to borrow one from the earlier shoot for today.

Neat, It's a coldfinch! The little spot of color makes this a sweet shot. I see something here that I see once in a while in my shots when I try to pull up the lowest light levels, and that is the pepper sprinkle look on the subject. It's still nice for this subject. It's sort of like grain in images in the film era.

Great shot! The Goldfinch is our state bird. I have yet to get one, they fly really fast and in groups (looks like swarms of big bees).
