Portrait taken at Thaipusam Festival, here in Singapore this week. Thaipusam is a Hindu festival celebrated by the Tamil community at the full moon in the Tamil month. This structure is called a 'vel kadavi' which is a portable alter suspended by skewers.

I keep coming back to this shot, the amount of detail is amazing! To me every area of the image holds so much interest, it captivates me. Lovely color rendition and framing. Wow. This is amazing. It could be astounding. More light, maybe, on the face and front...closer POV on the hooks...maybe it tries to say too much all at once...still a 7 though...
