Setup:
Used my girlfriends kitchen table.
Borrowed my friends Canon 580EX II flash (AMAZING)
Bought a $20 strobe light (I don't know what I was thinking I didn't use it)
2 tripods, one for the camera, one for the light
Used my Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch

Lighting:
Ambient light coming in through a sliding glass door(left side).
60w desk lamp rigged to an extra tripod (back light).
Mirror reflecting the ambient light (right side).
And a camera mounted Canon 580EX II flash.

Once you get the timing down it's pretty simple. I actually got a pretty decent shot on my 3rd attempt. There was A LOT of messing with ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, Flash adjustments, Lighting, Time of day (for proper ambient light).


Really not sure how this will do, I didn't see any shots like this the first time this challenge was out.

I like the attempt, but the image appears noisy....unless there is some finish that is on the table.

seems to be a little noisy or over saturated or something but, its distracting. Great splash though!

Interesting take on the milk & cookies idea. I don't think the splash adds to the emotion or the feeling of childhood, but it certainly makes for a more dramatic photo. Great execution on the splash... lighting, composition, etc.

I have never thrown my cookies into a glass of milk but that had to be a difficult shot. "A" for effort.
