Great shot! I try to avoid the winter time visits as it's so stinkin' cold, but I love the shot with the snow. this is something that you don't see in shots of Mt. Rushmore very often.
Did you enjoy your trip? Great job on the coloration as you can see the different colors in the stone.

Nice shot - was very (unexpectedly) impressed with Rushmore when I went. It's been a while, but when I went they had done a good job of keeping the overtly touristy nature of such sites away from the actual viewing area itself.

the funny thing is, for the longest time I never thought this was a real place cause I only ever saw it on cartoons.. That is one very cool thing to see. Lucky you :-)

This is a good shot of the mountain and the art. It's too bad that you could not be there to get a great sky and more modeling light on the art work.
A side note; The same group of people carved "Stone Mountain" near Atlanta, Ga, using the same techniques.

It's hard to imagine the amount of effort that went into this. Must be truly awesome to see in person; thanks for sharing :-)

Thanks for the history lesson - an interesting story. I knew three of the four, but missed Jefferson. Went there just out of high school, but would love to go again someday.

Looks like some of the guys on our money. Looks like there are people walking on them or it's equipment or something else.
