Decided to go abstract

Olive bottle. Used WB in camera to make it yellow.

Post Challenge Comments: Guess it wasn't yellow enough, maybe too orange... Just kidding. Anyhow, to those who did not understand, the theme was yellow...When I think color challenges, I think abstract/fill the frame type things. Oh well.

I hadn't seen this before. Nicely done!

I like the concept and think that some horizontal motion blur would have helped a lot.
It would appear more painterly; Rothko-like.

Don't stop going against the grain here.

This really has a cool feel - If I would have voted I would likely have voted it down, but I do like the layers of colors and how it reminds of those big swooping abstract paintings that cover walls in museums

gave you an 8. thought it was a great abstract - brought to mind vast desert vistas - knew you'd get hammered in the voting, but this is ridiculous, even by DPC standards.

I gave you a 5 and I reckon there are a lot more in this challenge that got from me a lesser score. Such is life. You achieved an inverted 1st place, IMO. ;-)

I like this abstract seascape, Jason. I am astonished with the number of '1' votes you received. I wonder if 62 is a record of some short. Anyway, congratulations on faking these voters into giving you a brown ribbon for a very good image.

lol what are you doing in last place again? You should never have told that this was an olive bottle. I thought it was just an abstracty ocean scene. I like the blend in colors. Congrats on your abstractness perfection.

I can see this scoring v v v low, I gave you a 8 I think it meets the challene very well and I like the blurred effect, always welcome in my books. I could look at it all day, has a nice and calming feeling to it =] Altho I can see more of a mountain and sea... and not sand hehehehehehehe. I'm pretty sure the voters here want to recognise what they are looking at, that I feel mad about sometimes I wish more people will see what is there and not complain!! Best of luck!

The yellow colouring is there alright, but it just far too blurred and has no real focal point

I'm sorry, but this is to blurry to be considered as an interesting photo. I'm not even quite sure what it is.
