Guess this won't make it to the top, but it was fun! That's me (again), next to a broken telephone booth in a more or less abandoned industrial area. The best part was clicking the shutter with self-timer, running 30 feet up to the booth, picking up the phone I brought from home with my right hand, holding my strobe invisibly into the booth with my left hand and then taking a relaxed-looking position - within 10 seconds! had to hold on for 25 seconds then and avoid breathing... Flash was fired three times in the booth, the light outside came from a parking lot nearby.

POST CHALLENGE: Oh, no! Another 6th place! Note to self: have to try a little harder.

You know it's a good thing that no one ran off with your camera while you were trying to hold your breath.

I love it when you tell me how you do your photos. I just might take some of you ideas and try them. Great work on this image.

Really interesting write up on what this entailed - very well thought out and executed.

Top 10 isn't really such a bad place to finish, and you might yet get into the top 5 ;- )

Oliver! Fantastic shot. I. The person, the phonebooth, the lighting coming from the left all blend together so well to create a fabulous feel.

But really, can't you try to make it a little more interesting...these 6th places just show that you really have a lot of work left to do...

like the shot a lot. Love the creativity with the self-portrait. I have a blast trying to do a shot like this because I don't think anybody else wants to go out to an abandoned phone booth in the middle of the night.

Absolutely brilliant on every level. Finding it hard to give you constructive criticism when it's all positive! Firstly it's original and that always gets extra points from me. Secondly it meets the challenge so perfectly, the yellow against the grey tones everywhere else. Thirdly the technical execution is brilliant with all the depth of field and focus. The lighting from within being the only obvious in-frame lighting is outstanding. I'm only 28% through the images but I really want this to ribbon. Well done!
