I took about 100 pictures before I got this one. This is the only one that didnt have a green tint to it. Nothing fancy for the shot, just a black shoebox and overhead halogen lights.
edited in PSE 6, lots of adjustment layers

on my screen the image looked fine, i guess i have a problem since so many had trouble seeing the glass. i agree that the lighting may be a bit harsh, but all i had was an overhead halogen light in my kitchen.
thanks for all of the comments and votes.

Perhaps it is just my screen, but this is dark enough that it loses the sides of the glass.

sorry but this just doesn't work for me. way too dark, the color is washed out and I don't get the rocks. sorry.

Nice idea but I feel the lighting is a bit harsh and the glass seems to get lost in the dark background.

Interesting... you can't really see the glass though.

If this was against a yellow background (maybe use your pc screen) it would have been great. Not sure about the gravel either. It seems like you were trying to miss it out the frame but couldn't quite get it.

The fruit seems more lime than lemon, to me. And I'm missing the coctail.

Too much of the glass is lost to the background unfortunately... nice idea but I think seeing the glass and it's lovely curves would have helped a lot.

I like this shot but with the black background your glass is almost completely lost. If you would used a lighter (white or better blue) background I think your glass would really have stood out.

Hmmm.. In my opinion, this needs more contrast, and some better lighting. I had to get close to my monitor just to make out the glass!

The lighting lets the glass blend into the background.

great idea for a picture. I really like this. Only, I wish the liquid was a different color. It blends in too much with the background.
