 This is my first entry shooting RAW and using HDR. I am curious to see how this does. Compositionally, I don't think this is a very strong image, but I do like the quality of the light. I had a hard time finding rivers and streams that fit the image of what I wanted to shoot, so I headed out Saturday at sunset to take some water shots in the marshlands where the Napa and Sonoma Rivers empty into the San Francisco Bay.

Generated an HDR from 5 separate RAW files exposed from 1/10 to 1 sec, then tonemapped in Photomatix. Saved as a TIFF. Removed a dust spot in PS Elements, did a minor saturation and lightness adjustment, added an 80B cooling filter in soft light mode, then some USM, resize, USM and gaussian blur, border S4W.

I like the colors of the sky, but there really isn't much contrast in the rest of the image.

neat image has stretched her plastic wrap over this water, but the colors are lovely in their understated glory and the composition offers the viewer movement room

In my eyes the sharpening is overdone, it creates a strange line at the horizon.
