 So, I've heard of this so called "reflector" thing that some weird people keep going on about. ;-) Not knowing anything about reflectors but finally finding that at least the term had sunk in, I used a mirror to bounce the flash when I saw some of my early shots had the dark spot. I was holding the camera pretty close to my face and it just makes sense the light from the flash couldn't get everywhere by itself. Whooo for somewhat accidental but also belated learning! :-D

In other news, I'm getting a little tired of hand-held self portraits. LOL. This isn't even a good one... Oh well, the important thing for me was that I wanted to enter what seemed like a fun challenge and sometimes I just have to work with what I have (i.e. not even enough energy to do the face "paints" (markers) from the "Rainbow" photo shoot), so this is what you get. :)

Nicely composed, sharp, and good post-processing for a high-key shot. I can't help feeling it's been shoehorned into the challenge though!

I don't really understand how your picture fits into the challenge. I can't see anything that resembles a clown. Sorry :(
(I really like the eyes in your picture though!)

Your image seems a bit of a stretch for clowns - to me. I like the eyes themselves, but the lighting seems a bit too much.

Nice photo but I'm having a hard time seeing it meet the challenge. I somehow wonder if there is a book reference I'm missing.

Ummm Its not a clown. You can't consider this a piece of the challenge. Great picture though.... love the contrast. and how well you can see every little piece of hair..

This is a lovely photo and I'd love to rate it high but without the title it has nothing to do with clowns in any way. A photo should speak for itself.

i like the eyes, but the skin is just too blown out for my taste, and the eyelashes and eyebrows are oversharpened.

This seems to be more of an artistic de-sat than a clown shot. Neat crop.

Ummmm, I don't see how this fits in with clowns. I like the focus, but I don't think it fits the theme of the challenge.
