 Had a great shoot with Hanneke, we both worked on a challenge, both different ones.

Lighted her with a ringlight, just in front of her.
White background which is now different because of the WB that I changed.

PP in lightroom:
highlights, shadows, contrast, white-balance, brightness, exposure, saturation and finally a square crop.

Freaky and bizarre - love it! The eye area is interesting but for me, the ring in the iris is a distraction. Nevertheless, it's an awesome pic overall and I hope it ribbons!

OK, so I'm staring and staring, trying to understand. Maybe I'm just too old; maybe it's an obscure reference from a country other than my own; maybe it's just a freaky picture with no real meaning.

...It's definitely a freaky picture. I like it.

Are those wings? Are the lips really chapped from flying? Is that a black eye under the glass? What's that reflecting in the bottom chrome of the goggle? Is that you?
These are all questions I'm going to need answers to...

I like this a lot. The only thing I would change is the crop. I would have cropped it portrait vs. landscape. The fur on the right seems to pull my eye away a little.

Your signature style alright. I like this humorous and different take on the subject. Might get voted down for the goggles, unless they're prescription ;)
What's interesting is the face is clean while the skin under the goggles are not. Trying to be different is fun. I do wonder how it would look the other way around though.

Heheh, Sander? If it's you it's a great combination, you taking the pictures, and (if im right) Hanneke as model.. Either way, love the way you played with the light here, the eyes look awesome, and the desaturated feel is also perfect. Amazing portrait! 10 from me, hope it ribbons.
