Was taking photos in the cattery at work today. Just along the corridor one of my co-workers was showing a family one of the cats. The little girl chose to take her home. Not a cute little kitten, but one of the older cats ...... a mama cat who's kittens have been rehomed and she's been waiting a while for someone to come for her.

I think this has got to be one of my favourite photos I've ever taken in the cattery.

Oh Sue, as I said over and over, you capture emotion so well with animals and people, too! You are special in that you help stray animals find a home. I'm so happy for Lily...what were the chances?! :) Lovely capture and PP work.

A beautiful capture of emotions and body language. The toning is perfect IMO, in that it really gives it an old-time feeling, harking back to a more innocent, carefree age.

Most excellent candid and fantastic processing. Seeing only the cats legs back there is a nice touch. Wonderful image, Sue.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this moment :-))) I know how frustrating it is to watch the cats get passed by in favor of the adorable curtain-climbers, when you know at least one cat who would be much better able to handle the toddler who only picks up half the cat before dragging him off to put in a doll carriage LOL!

Great candid shot. I'm a huge proponent of candids. I think they make the best shots. Love the feel!
