I pretty much decided not to enter this shot, for lack of wanting to set my house on fire to get something interesting. Low and behold, today I was out shooting for "Silence" and on my way home heard on the radio of a traffic jam near my house because the fire and rescue was doing a practice drill, where they burn an old house down. What luck. this shot was taken from across the street with my 80-200 thru the window, and then cropped just inside the window frame. I tried leaving the window frame and part of the house in the picture, but it just didn't seem as interesting. Unfortunately, I arrived towards the end of the drill, so I probably missed the really good part of the fire. Anyway, we will have to see how it does.

This is very dark and scary. I like the feel it brings. I like the composition and wavy feel of the flames.

I thought you did a great job capturing the flames, but the glass distracted from that.

This is the best rendition of fire so far, for my tastes. Clear and sharp...maybe the glass has something to do with it. I would like to see the full dark areas down away with or downsized on the right and top. Other than that pretty fine. Like this as abstract very much.

I really like the swirl and the way you captured the rythem of the fire. A little blurry though

Very cool shot, great capture of the flames, and you can't make you the size of the burning things (could be a macro, could be a whole building on fire), which is nice. I like it.
