Thanks ScottK and everyone else who commented. I'm still kicking myself because I had entered a different shot (same idea, different composition) and then pulled it for this one. Ah well... 'twas fun anyway!

I thought this might be yours! Didn't have time to comment during voting, but I like this idea because every other tree picture I looked at, I kept thinking "wind in the branches" - which isn't silent! The branchless stubbs made me think "Yes - silent trees!" :) I think it might have done better if you could have gotten the trunks at the top of the peak more prominantly in the shot. Better luck next time.

The composition doesnt quite work for me somehow possibly too symetrical, drawing my eye out of the photograph rather than into it. Lacking sharpness in the whole image.

Image is a little bland. Nothing realy grabs my attention in it.

I like the stark shapes of the trees, particularly the bare trunks that are missing branches, but I think that composition is weak. There isn't really an effective focal point and the image doesn't feel that balanced. The scrub in the foreground also hold much less interest for me than those majestic trees behind it.

Really like how you composed pic with mountain peak converging in center frame. Too bad there wasn't a lone tree standing by itself at the top with less distracting trees throughout. Large tree on left seems to take some of the focus away from the peak. Good idea, but your models weren't willing. ;)
