 Hard boiled the egg of course. Weird shot - not sure I like it all that much but, after the effort, I might as well enter it! Hopefully it will garner a 6.2 so as not to spoil my new-found 6.2 average! Not holding my breath.

Applied the pins - about 250. Very relaxing activity...I highly recommend it for a four day weekend when you are trying not to think about work. It's been over a year and half since my pin laden pear shot and it was high time I stuck something again! Shoulda stuck to the plan I had when I was 6 - to be a nurse.

Shot outside in the shade to minimize shadows. Shot in RAW, RAW conversions. Elements - neat image, crop, levels, brighness/contrast, desaturation, burn/dodge, USM, border, save for web.

I see this was taken in Reynoldsburg and I laugh because i lived there at one time. Hopefully your digs are way better than what I lived in. I think this is a beautiful shot! I love the contrast of white and pink. The pins stand out so well in the photo. Congrats on 4th place!

OK I have to admit to being somehwat confused by the sheer volume of eggs in this challenge, but I can say that IMO this stands head and shoulders above the other egg entries in the challenge. I love the symettry of the pins and the colour of their heads provides a wonderful contrast against the rest of the high key nature of the shot. This has the feel of a ribbon wonner about it. Good luck
