This was originally meant to be entered into the Beauty in the Everyday challenge. With basic editing I didn't like how it turned out so I decided to have some fun with it and post it here.

It's a plastic trash bag. The trickiest part was getting the bag to stand still for the long exposure. I taped some string to the top and taped the other end to a kitchen cabinet to hold it open. I left lights on for a couple seconds and then painted light with a small flashlight.

In PS:
convert from raw
rotate/crop
various basic adjustments
curse because it didn't look good
more basic adjustments
curse some more & decide to not enter in challenge
Fractalius
color dodge dark areas a bit
resize
save for web

Once again Fractalius saved the day. I see a person coming out of some type of extruder, hence the name "metamorphosis".

I was going to guess it was some sort of tree roots. Clever idea!

WOW ,. that light bit in the middle looked like an arm with fingers at first, then after i posted my comment i had another look .. it really does look like a nude sitting with her head thrown back and her right arm raised high .. brilliant .. !! :)

Very nice work. I thought maybe you had a nude overlay. I like the color and texture a bunch.

This has a bit of a spooky, other worldly feel to it.

This is whack... I love it... sure that's not a nude superimposed on there. Good stuff.

Kind of reminds me of Dante's Inferno. I can definitely see human figures contorted in there..Good abstract
