This was done in collaboration with wanjun She is posing as the photographer in this and I the model. This was actually the basic idea I had from the start, I just didn't really feel like doing it until today when Wanjun and I got together to do photoshoot stuff. I actually got 5 extension chords to get my lights from my really big back yard, over the fence past a ditch with a creek in it all the way out to this field...it was freezing outside but we had a good time.

Sweet image and take on the challenge. The sky is nice and colorful, model well lit and stands out amongst the darkness. Boy is that a big backyard!

This would have been a winner if it were a self portrait. The photographer in the photo really takes away from the shot. Nice lighting!

Awesome work once again, Claire! What a tribute to you to make a photo in front of powerlines look so glamourous and "magazine cover-esque" :)

I wonder what the picture of the girl turned out like, very cool shot, the photographer seems too dark though but in a way that works, dont know why though.

Not a fan of the silhouette in the foreground - mainly because it isnt immediately apparent what it is. But great idea, and a nice alround shot.

This is a terrific idea and very well executed... but... the dark object in the foreground between the lights is very distracting. 7

Nice, creative thought.

I really love the juxtaposition, and think the setup, lighting and colour is a real winner!

Nice perspective and contrast of colors. Illustrates the point, though it is a little busy to have impact to me. There are not as many shots of photo gear in this challenge as I had expected.

I'd love to see the photo you took without the lights in the frame!

nice portables...is there a buy it now price for them? :-)..7

Good concept and setting.

Photographer figure is too difficult to pull from the dark treeline. Model is not comfortable in that crossed-legs pose, appears unbalanced. That is the photographer's responsibility, not hers.

Use of line is excellent, but the focus on her too distant, and so too small, face is a problem.

Model's plain clothing makes the viewer wonder why the equipment is in use. Is she the photographer's assistant, standing in for the model, in order to get the lighting correct? Too many questions; the story is unclear.

Nice location for a shoot and looks like you got a very good deal if you did get the lights on eBay!

That would be a nice shot. I wanna see that one. :) Great use of the power lines. As for this shot, I would have cropped it a little closer, and there's something wierd happening with her eyes. They are really dark black black pixels. Too much mascara maybe? :)
