Um ... I did buy a lot of these on eBay ;-) Trying to convey the idea of buying stuff you neither need nor have room for, and the "things" end up taking over the house. Hence the looming shadows above the clutter and the top elephant looking more or less at the camera.
And yes, I have even more elephants. I've been collecting them for about 30 years. Yikes! Although after the shoot I boxed most of them up and put them away. Need to decorate for Christmas, after all.
PP - converted from RAW, rotated slightly, cloned out some blobs (d'oh; should've cleaned the lens first!!), levels, white balance, increased contrast, dodged/burnt details on elephants, convert to duotone, USM, added border, resized, sharpened. |

| Shadows shadows shadows.... i look forward to reading the comments after the voting to see if anyone else had mentioned anything other than the lighting or the shadows. I think just one of these items done simply with a striking B&W would have worked much better. |

This seems a bit busy to me, without a central subject that draws my eye through the image. I'm split between the 3 large elephants and the shadows are distracting for me rather than enhancing.
Quite a nice variety of elephants, though. I have a coworker who has a rhinoceros collection at his desk. |
