120 Second exposure, Canon 350xt, ISO 800, Takahashi E-160 guided with a losmandy g11 mount. Used a hutech IDAS light suppresant (pollution) filter to help deal with all the light pollution from Christmas lights, seems to have worked well. Post processing, cropped, resized, pulled down the red midtones, bumped up the green midtones, selective noise reduction (noise ninja). Camera's internal noise reduction on.

This is the first time I have seen your work and I am amazed! Such a wonderful setup and the photos are just stunning! Wow! :) Thanks for sharing how it's done for those of us to dare to dream to have a setup like this and shoot for the stars some day. :)
Beautiful, beautiful!
a totally brilliant photograph ..
so much knowledge and expertise has gone into this photograph and all the other ones in your portfolio .. your resulting images are beautiful to behold .. :)
Beautiful. Certainly the best rendering of M42 that I've seen on our site. You held detail toward the central nebula about as well as can be expected for a single exposure
I love astrophotography. This one is a exeptionally nice one too. Sharp and detailed with nice color rendering. I envy you guys that have the equipment required for this!
Looks like it was taken through a Newt. Nice pic, is it one exposure or a stack? Just curious how a traditional DSO astrophoto can fit within the rules of DPC and advanced editing.
