I work with stained glass so when I saw the 'conflict' challenge I could not resist! The biggest conflict in my work is metal against glass. This was shot using macro mode in my glass studio.

The only modifications I made was to bump up saturation by 25% to bring out the beauty of this blue art glass, and crop the image to focus on the hammer.

I am drawn to this picture. maybe would like to see a little bit more of hammer though.

Interesting idea and composition. Nice POF. It doesn't convey the message of conflict by itself.

Good composition and exposure. Love the colors. But two inanimate objects can't have conflict, can they? I know where you're going with this, but the conflict connection is weak. But it's a damn fine image.

Very cool. But maybe standard clear glass would have been better?

I wouldn't have understood it without the title. A little wider perspective might say a lot more.

well.....

Hmm... more impact than conflict. Nice composition though. I would have cropped out a little more on the left side of the photo.

Without reading the title you would never know what is going on here...there needs to be a way to represent the photo without a title and still have the same effect...also the glass seems a bit blurry on the edges....

nice pic, but (for me) does not fit the challenge well - it doesn't say 'conflict' without an explanation. Show the pic to strangers, and say nothing. Ask "What is the first thing that comes to mind?" or even 'What is the conflict in this image?' and let me know if anyone gets it.

Lighting of glass could be a bit better...nice composition...would be hard to keep the reflection of the hammer and yet show the glass better. Nice contrast between the background and the dark glass.

This doesn't really show what's going on.
